Next comes the painting. The bay where I work (and where my cases are created) is really dusty. So to keep the dust off of the paint while it is drying I had a small brainstorm (or is that brainfart?). For a paint booth I set up my old dome tent. |
Heh, it was at this point of the mod that my co-workers knew I was nuts! So the dust problem was solved but since this is work this thing was really in the way! So here was the solution to that:
I have little to no pictures of this process as I was not going to bring my camera into the tent with the paint "dust" everywhere. This link is a great article to painting and is the guide I used. Here is the inside of the tent with most of the parts laid out.
I only used a spray-bomb for the primer. The actual painting was done with an airgun.
