There was a katmai P3 500B. It got to be almost a year old and was getting dated. So.....

I pulled out the processor....

removed the stock fan/heatsink (a nerve-wracking task).......

and put on this darling from 3DCOOL.com.

However, even with this cooler plus all the original case mods, I still could not get the machine to overclock to more than 575 MHz (115 MHz fsb).
