Finally came the painting. No special materials here - just spraybomb of Color-Flo Grey (over a sanded layer of Color-Flo Sandable Grey primer). His technique was different from what I'd seen or done though. What he would do is spray on a light coat and wait until it "flashed-off" (until it was no longer glossy-looking). Then he would apply another coat right away. We got four or five coats on in an hour and it came out like this: |
As a precaution, the inside joints were sealed with silicon.
Finally the sub and binding-posts were installed. This is a dual voice coil sub and they are wired in parallel (2ohm load).
