While I was awaiting the Toyota's arrival, I began to plan out the installation of the replacement stereo. I've decided that consumer technology has caught up with my demands and a PC would not be required for this build. This time my music library will be stored on an 80G iPod. The iPod in turn will be connected directly to the head using its USB port. Alpine calls this their "Full Speed" connection. Anyhow, since this truck is roughly twice the size of the last one, it only makes sense that the stereo should be twice the size too, right? This time I will run 1kW to a pair of 10" Type X subwoofers and bi-amp 300W per side to three-way components for the front.
